My Favorite YouTubers

This is a post I was planning on writing anyway, but now that we’re all stuck at home for who knows how long, I figured this was the perfect time for it! If you’re like me and you have a child (or children) to entertain, you probably don’t have a ton of extra free time, but one of my favorite things to do when I do have a few minutes to myself is to watch YouTube videos. So whether you’re interested in motherhood, beauty, travel, food, home decor and DIY’s, or something else, I’ve got a channel for pretty much everyone on this list!

Motherhood & Lifestyle

Tara Henderson – Tara is probably my number one favorite YouTuber. I first found her channel when I was pregnant and was watching a lot of labor and delivery vlogs. I first watched her labor and delivery video of her daughter Shay, which led to me binge watching a ton of her videos! I think the reason I like her so much is because she’s so relatable. She shares a little bit of everything on her channel, from motherhood, fashion, beauty, to travel, home organization, and home decor. So if you’re looking for a good mommy/lifestyle vlogger, Tara’s your girl. You can also follow her on Instagram at @taralynnn.

Aaryn Williams – I found Aaryn on YouTube through Tara, and she’s another one of my absolute favorites. She shares pretty similar content as Tara, and she is so funny. She’s been doing YouTube for a long time, so if you want to just binge watch a bunch of videos, she’s got plenty of them on her channel. She is also so relatable and I can always count on her videos to keep me entertained during my pumping sessions. You can follow her on Instagram at @aaryn_williams.

Caitlyn Neier – I honestly don’t remember how I found Caitlyn, but she’s one of my newest favorites. She shares a lot of “day in the life” type content, as well as fashion, home decor (she has amazing decor style), motherhood, cooking, and cleaning. She works from home and has a three year old little girl, so I enjoy seeing how she balances her work and life, but still gets everything done! You can follow her on IG at @caitlynneier.

Brittani Boren Leach – I found Brittani just through the suggested videos on YouTube that were similar to the ones I was already watching. Brittani is a boy mama, and a lover of iced coffee and Target, so I feel like we could totally be best friends! She shares lots of motherhood and lifestyle content, which is definitely my favorite kind of video to watch. Her channel has really grown and evolved over the years, but she has plenty of videos if you’re looking for a good binge session. Follow her on IG at @brittaniborenleach.

Olivia Zapo – I don’t really remember how I first came across Olivia’s channel, but I’ve been following her for quite a while. She originally started out as more of a fashion/beauty channel, but once she became a mama (she has a little boy who’s almost 2 and is due with her second boy any day now) her channel kind of evolved to include more motherhood and lifestyle content. BUT she does still share lots of fashion and beauty if you’re interested in that! She’s also big on sharing real life and lots of positivity, which I love about her! You can follow her on Instagram at @oliviazapostyle.

Casey Holmes – When it comes to makeup, I usually keep it super simple, but I still enjoy watching Casey’s makeup videos. She shares both simple, every day looks, and more dramatic, full face looks, so she really has something for everyone. She also shares some fun, random videos like the one she did recently where she let her baby pick out what products she should use. Even if you aren’t into makeup, Casey also has a second channel (CaseyHolmesVlogs91) where she shares more lifestyle, vlog type of videos. AND she also owns a small online clothing store called Rosie Daze Boutique, which carries the cutest pieces! Follow her on IG at @caseyhl91.

Home Decor & Home Projects

Rachel Metz – I just recently found Rachel’s channel by accident, but I really like her videos! She shares tons of one room makeovers, easy DIY’s, and home organization videos. Her channel is super motivating and honestly makes me want to redo my whole house! If you’re into home decor or home makeovers, you’ll definitely love her channel! You can follow her on Instagram at @rachel_metz.

Kristen McGowan – Kristen’s channel is another one that I found through recommended videos that were similar to ones I was already watching. Her videos are a little more focused on decor than Rachel’s, but she also does a lot of one room makeover videos. She also does a lot of organization and “shop with me” videos, which I love. Kristen’s channel really just inspires me to decorate and organize! Follow her on IG at @kristenmcgowan.

Sailing La Vagabonde – This is pretty much the only travel channel that I watch on a regular basis. Elayna and Riley (and now their little guy Lenny) are an Australian couple that lives on their sail boat and sails around the world. It’s so fun to watch their adventures and see all the beautiful places they visit. It’s also been really cool to see how they have grown and evolved since their baby was born, but they’re continuing to do what they love, and just bringing him along for the fun! You can follow them on IG at @elayna.carausu and @riley.whitelum.

Sam the Cooking Guy – I think my husband actually discovered this channel, but he always makes such delicious looking stuff, and I was intrigued. We like to watch Sam’s videos when we’re wanting to try something new for dinner, but we also just watch because everything he makes in every single video looks so good. I also really like him because he’s super casual and laid back, and his videos almost always include a bit of humor and sarcasm. You can follow him on IG at @thecookingguy.

Current Favorite Beauty Products

Oribe Gold Lust Repair & Restore Shampoo and Conditioner – I have pretty much always just used cheap drug store hair products that I could buy at Wal-Mart or Target, but I recently started using these Oribe products at the recommendation of my hair stylist, and I’m really loving them. My hair has always been long, and I’ve always colored it and used heat on it, so it’s never been super healthy. But since I’ve been using these products, I feel like my ends are much less damaged, and my hair overall just feels stronger and fuller, even with some postpartum hair loss happening. I also use the Transformative Masque once a week, which I feel has really helped to improve the health of my hair. These products are expensive, but they are very high quality, so a little goes a long way, and one bottle lasts a long time.

Maybelline Volume Express Colossal Mascara – This mascara is my go-to, ride or die, all time favorite mascara. I’ve used it since high school and I don’t think I will ever switch to a different one. I’ve tried lots of other brands, including several designer brands, and this one tops them all for me. I like a little length to my lashes, but more importantly, I want my lashes to be full and fluffy, with no clumps, and this mascara does exactly that. It comes in regular or waterproof, is available in a few different shades (I use Glam Black,) and is only $7! Doesn’t get much better than that!

L’Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Definer – This is my favorite brow pencil. It’s affordable, it goes on smoothly, and the shade Blonde matches my natural brows perfectly. I also really like that it’s such a fine tip, which makes it easier to get nice, precise lines. My brows are actually microbladed, but I have never had them touched up after my initial two sessions a couple years ago, so they’re very faded. But, the outline is still there, which makes it super easy for me to use this brow pencil to just fill in the shape.

Tarte Maracuja Oil – I know face oils can be scary to some people, but I promise this one will not leave you feeling oily. I apply this as a moisturizer after I shower and it leaves my skin feeling so smooth and soft. It absorbs quickly, is not sticky at all, and helps my skin feel hydrated and healthy. Since this is a pricier product, I usually just buy the travel size bottle. You only need a few drops of this, so even the small bottle lasts me several months of daily use.

Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Dry Shampoo – I’m not super picky about dry shampoos, but this one is definitely one of my favorites. My hair is super thin and straight, so any extra volume or texture I can add, I’ll take it. This absorbs the excess oil in my hair really well, and gives me just enough extra texture to help my hair look a little more full. It’s also super affordable, which is always a plus!

True Religion Hippie Chic Perfume – This perfume is a little expensive, but it’s my all time favorite, and a bottle lasts a long time. I feel like it’s the perfect combination of fruity and floral-y, but nothing too overwhelming. Perfume preference is so unique to each individual, but to me, this one is a great feminine scent for just about anyone.

Aveeno Ultra- Calming Cleansing Makeup Removing Wipes – I love that these makeup removing wipes leave my skin feeling smooth, soft, and not sticky. They also remove my makeup really well, which is awesome because I feel like a lot of other remover wipes that I’ve tried don’t really take all of my makeup off. These are super affordable and great for sensitive skin, and I definitely recommend them!

Tarte Brazilliance Plus Self Tanner – I’m a newbie to the self tanner game, but I really love this one by Tarte. It comes with a mitt which makes it super easy to apply, and most importantly (to me at least) it doesn’t smell bad. When you first apply it, it just smells kind of like vanilla or just a regular lotion. As it sits on the skin, it does start to develop a slight “fake tan” smell, but it is nowhere near as bad as some other tanners out there. It also gives the skin a nice bronzed brown color, and does not make you look orange at all. The color lasts several days, so I’ve found applying it about twice a week keeps me looking nice and tan all the time! It is a little bit pricey, but I think it’s totally worth it!

New Baby Must Haves

As a first time parent, shopping for baby products can be SO overwhelming. There are so many different options and everyone you know has their opinion on which products are the best. Personally, I read and watched tons of reviews, and ultimately just chose the products that I thought would be best for our family.

But, now that my husband and I have been parents for about 4.5 months, we’ve definitely found some favorite products that have helped us get through these first few months. In this post I’m going to share some of our favorites, as well as a few that I really wanted to love, but that just haven’t worked for us like I thought they would. I’ll try to link as many products as I can, but if you have any questions, just let me know!

Love to Dream Swaddle – Hendrix has been breaking out of blanket swaddles since day one. He liked to have his body swaddled, but he’s always wanted to have his hands up by his head. So at first we just swaddled him in a blanket but let him keep his arms out, and that worked fine, until he discovered that he has hands and arms. Once he made this discovery, he was constantly throwing his arms around and hitting himself in the face, which kept waking him up. So we switched to the Love to Dream Swaddle, and he loved it. It allowed him to have his arms up by his head like he likes them, and still have his body swaddled. He wore it for naps and bed time, and as soon as we put him in it, he knew it was time to sleep and almost immediately calmed down. We recently had to stop using this because he is now rolling and I wanted him to be in something safer that gives him more mobility with his arms, but I definitely recommend this swaddle if you have a new baby that loves to have their arms up while sleeping!

Lou Lou & Company Swaddle Blankets – These are the softest, most snuggly swaddle blankets ever! Even though we switched Hendrix to the Love to Dream swaddle pretty early on, we did swaddle him in a blanket for a while at the beginning, and these were our go to blankets every time. I love how soft and stretchy they are, which is perfect for getting baby wrapped up nice and tight, but still leaving them comfortable and able to move a bit. Even though we don’t swaddle anymore now, we still use these blankets all the time in his car seat because they’re so soft and light weight. Another reason I love them is because they have SO MANY color and print options for both boys and girls, so you’ll definitely be able to find that perfect color that you’re looking for! They also carry top knot hats, no scratch mittens, knotted gowns, the cutest little top and bottom sets, and tons more!

Project Nursery Sound Machine – There are so many sound machine options out there, and some of them are so expensive, but this one is extremely affordable and I love all the things that it does. It has several different soothing sounds to choose from, the option to set a timer for the sounds, a night light with three different levels of brightness, the option to connect to blue tooth to play your own sound or music, and a projector with three different discs if your baby needs a visual to help soothe them. Hendrix loves the ocean wave sound, and I love that it’s quick and easy to operate when we’re up in the middle of the night!

Electric Nail File – Obviously baby finger and toenails are itty bitty, and I got so scared every time I tried to trim them with the baby clippers because I was so afraid I was going to pinch him. So we bought an electric nail file, and it has been a game changer. I’ll be honest, it’s still difficult to trim his nails (especially his toenails) but it’s just because he is constantly moving and I can’t get him to hold still long enough to get it done! I’ve found that it’s easiest to do while he’s napping, and I just try my hardest not to wake him up. The one we got is also rechargeable, which is super convenient since we don’t ever have to mess with replacing the batteries. I definitely recommend skipping the clippers and just going for the electric file!

Activity Gym / Play Mat – A soft place for baby to play is definitely a must. Obviously a blanket on the floor and a few toys will do, but in our experience, an activity gym with toys hanging overhead is much more entertaining for baby. We got this super cute tropical themed one, and Hendrix loves it. It has several different toys that can be removed and moved around as well as the monkey hanging from the middle that plays music (which is Hendrix’s favorite part.) The toys can also be attached to the mini boppy style pillow that comes with it, and then hung on the car seat for on the go entertainment!

Bouncy Seat – We originally purchased a 2 in 1 gliding swing / rocker, thinking that would work instead of buying both a swing and a bouncy seat. One less piece of baby gear cluttering up the house, ya know? Hendrix likes it ok, but his grandma got him an actual bouncy seat for Christmas, and he absolutely loves it. He kicks and kicks and hits the toys and smiles and squeals a ton when he’s in it. This seat has even helped us to be able to eat a few meals without one of us having to eat one handed because we’re holding him with the other! I definitely recommend some sort of bouncy chair because it’s an easy way for babies to entertain themselves a little bit if you have a few things you need to get done! I couldn’t find our exact one, but the one I linked is very similar.

Ubbi Diaper Pail – When I was pregnant, a trash can designed specifically for diapers was one of the things that kept popping up on lists of things that are nice to have, but you don’t really need. But honestly, I can’t imagine not having it. I don’t know if you’ve ever smelled a trash can full of dirty diapers, but let me tell you, it is not a pleasant smell. The Ubbi locks the smell in so well and keeps Hendrix’s room smelling nice and fresh, and not like dirty diapers. You can use any regular trash bag in it, which means you don’t have to spend extra money buying special bags to put in it. It also has a lock on the lid, so when Hendrix gets a little older and a little more mobile, we’ll be able to make sure he can’t get into it. Plus it comes in several different colors so you should definitely be able to find one to match your nursery!

Wanted to love, but don’t

Snuggle Me Organic – This was literally the first thing I bought when I found out I was pregnant, and unfortunately, I wish I hadn’t. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great product, Hendrix just doesn’t like it. I think the reason he’s not a fan is just because he wants to be held all. the. time. and when he’s not being held, he doesn’t like to be laying flat on his back. He prefers to be propped up or at an angle so he can see what’s going on around him. I haven’t tried it in a while, so maybe now that he’s a little bigger and spending more time laying down while he plays, he might like it better, so maybe I will try it again soon.

Solly Baby Wrap – This is another item that I was so excited to have and was just SURE that I was going to use it all the time, but it just hasn’t worked for us. I can NEVER seem to get it on right, and every time I try to put him in it, he locks his entire body out straight and refuses to bend his knees so that I can get him in the correct position. I have tried so many times, watched tons of tutorial videos, and even reached out to the company for advice, but literally nothing has worked for us. Every single time I try to put him in it we just end up with him screaming and crying and me beyond frustrated. I’m still trying to find some sort of carrier or wrap that works for us, but so far I haven’t had much luck!

Magic Merlin Sleep Suit – We bought this when we were getting close to being ready to transition out of the Love to Dream Swaddle. We had read so much about how people’s babies were finally sleeping through the night when they started wearing it, so we were so hopeful that it would work for us too. Unfortunately though, he didn’t seem to like it and would get mad every time we put him in it. He also likes to lift both his legs up and slam them down in his crib, and he did that worse and more while wearing this than he does with anything else. He seemed so uncomfortable in it, and he definitely wasn’t sleeping any better, so our time of him wearing this was very short lived.

One thing that’s for sure, babies are picky. They all have their own preferences, and you just never know what they are going to like until they are here! If you guys have good or bad thoughts on any of these products, let me know! I want to hear your experiences!

December Favorites

Just like the rest of 2018, the month of December has flown by. I seriously can’t believe that it is officially 2019! This month my favorite things were mostly either fashion or home decor items, but I do have a beauty item in there as well! Keep reading to find out what I’ve been loving this month!

1. Forever 21 Camo Jacket

In case you didn’t know, camo is in again, and I’m here for it. I don’t know why, but I’m seriously loving it. A couple months ago I saw a camo utility style jacket at TJ Maxx and fell in love, but it was the only one I could find in the store, and it was about two sizes too big for me. But after seeing it, I was on a mission to find one somewhere else. A few weeks later, I was shopping and decided to check in Forever 21. For the most part, I’ve stopped trying to shop there, because let’s face it, I’m almost 30 years old and their stuff just does not work for me anymore, but I knew there was a chance they would have one. I walked in the door, immediately spotted this one, and made a bee line for it!

I love this jacket because it’s lightweight, which is perfect for the chilly, winter in Florida, evenings. Plus, it was only around $30, it’s comfortable, and it’s just oh so cute! I couldn’t find the exact one I have on their site, but the one I linked above is very similar!

2. Wooden Blanket Ladder

I have been wanting a blanket ladder for FOREVER, and my husband finally got me one for Christmas this year! I’m a throw blanket fanatic, but I have a few that are special to us and I don’t like to actually use them because I don’t want them to get ruined by our pets. For the longest time they were just hidden away in the closet, but now I can finally display them!

I love this one because it has more of a modern look than most blanket ladders I’ve seen, plus the little shelf just adds a cute touch! Also, the color of this wood is just beautiful! This one rings in at around $90, but it is totally worth it!

3. Good Chemistry Queen Bee Perfume

I’ll be completely honest, I first found this perfume purely because of it’s cute packaging. I was strolling through the aisles at Target, looking for stocking stuffers for my husband, when it caught my eye. Once I smelled it and read a little more about the company thought, I just couldn’t resist buying it!

This scent is the perfect combination of floral and fruity, with notes of black currant, peony and amber. They had several other delicious smelling scents as well, but this one was definitely my favorite! Plus, as you might have guessed by their name, all of Good Chemistry’s products are vegan, paraben free, proplyene glycol free, and cruelty free! I bought the roll on, just because it’s easy to take with me, but they do sell bottles as well!

4. In Bloom by Jonquil pajamas

As much as I could love to sleep in men’s basketball shorts and a baggy t-shirt every night, my husband isn’t the biggest fan of that, so I’m always on the hunt for some cute and comfortable (and affordable) pajamas. I found these at TJ Maxx for $17 (they normally retail around $60) and I seriously love them! I really wish they would have had them in more styles/colors because I totally would have bought them all!

I love the print, the fabric is SO soft, and they have pockets. Everything is better with pockets, right?! Also, as I was searching for these online, I discovered that this line has a ton of other cute pj’s and I kinda want to buy them all! I couldn’t find this exact set online anywhere, but the pair I linked above are a similar style.

Safavieh Round Jute Rug

This cutie little rug is another item that was on my Christmas list that I’m so glad my husband bought! I’m obsessed with jute rugs, but haven’t really found a spot inside the house that one would work yet, but I knew I wanted one for the porch. I of course want to put a large rug in the area of the sofa and coffee table (and chairs when I find some I like,) but I have a special plan for this little beauty!

We will eventually be adding a hanging chair in one corner of the porch, and this rug will go underneath it! I love the way the pattern on this rug really makes it pop, plus the color of the print matches the cushions on the sofa perfectly! I can’t wait until we get the hanging chair so I can show you guys this whole little setup!

November Favorites

I cannot believe that the month of November has come and gone already! Like seriously, does anyone else feel like time is just flying by?! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and were able to take some time to be with family and friends, and to give thanks for everything you have. Now Christmas will be here before we know it!

I am heading to Missouri tomorrow to spend a few days with my family, (and my sister just had a baby yesterday!) but I wanted to make sure to get my November Favorites post up for you before I go! This month I have a few fashion items, a book, a beauty item, a home item, and just a life item, all of which I have been loving this month! Everything is linked in the titles below, but if you ever have any questions about anything, just let me know!

1. H&M Boyfriend Jeans

I have been living in these jeans. I’m seriously obsessed with them! My favorite thing about them is that they are loose, but not so loose that they look frumpy. I’m also a big fan of the light denim color, and I really love the destroyed look of them.

These jeans are $39.99 at H&M, and they actually come in a couple of other washes and levels of destroyed-ness (I know that’s not a word, but you get what I’m saying.) They are sold out in several sizes, but they are still available in a few, so if you want them, you better go check them out right away!

2. Cured Nutrition CBD Oil

This CBD oil isn’t really something I’ve been loving just this month. I’ve actually been using it for several months and it has been so helpful with my anxiety. I get scared/nervous/overwhelmed very easily, and just a dropper or two of this stuff really helps to ease my nerves. This time of year can be stressful with all of the traveling and family get togethers, so it’s nice to have something to help me keep from getting too overwhelmed.

I know CBD is a bit of a touchy subject, but if you feel that it is bad, or you’re uncomfortable with it, I highly suggest learning more about it and what it can do to help people and animals. This oil has no THC, so it will not get you high. It simply helps to relieve pain and calm nerves, among a variety of other benefits.

I like Cured Nutrition specifically because their products are pure and not filled with other things that could potentially be harmful. Their website also discusses where their product is grown, and how it is made. In addition to this oil, they also have several other products, including CBD dog treats, CBD infused spices, and CBD gel caps.

3. Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis

So I actually haven’t quite finished this book yet, but from what I’ve read so far, I’m loving it. In the book she talks about all the different lies we tell ourselves about who we are, why we treat ourselves the way we do, and about what we can become. She tells stories we can all relate to, and gives plenty of suggestions on how we can stop lying to ourselves and treating ourselves poorly, and instead, live our best lives.

If you haven’t read this book yet, I highly suggest it. I honestly think there is something that will speak to every woman – every wife, every mother, every daughter, every sister, every friend, every girlfriend, every working woman, every woman – and whether we think we’ve got it all together or not, we could all use a little help!

4. A New Day Scoop Neck Tees

These tees are a great everyday, basic tee, and they’re perfect for layering. I originally bought two of these tees without trying them on, because I only planned on using them for pajamas, but when I got them home and put them on, I immediately went back and bought it in four more colors. They’re light (but not see through,) soft, and perfect for doing a little front tuck! Also, if you’ve ever experienced those t-shirts that are short and wide, and just not flattering at all, you will not get that with these, they’re not fitted, but they’re not frumpy looking either!

These tees are $8 at Target, or you can get them 2 for $14. I have it in six colors (see the green and the striped, both with the boyfriend jeans in the photos above,) but it also comes in several others including navy, mustard yellow, and red.

5. Tula Discovery Kit

I have been hearing tons of good things about Tula products for a while now, and have been wanting to try them, but had never bit the bullet because well, they are a little bit pricey. But, I’m almost 30 years old, and my skin has really been a mess since I went off birth control seven months ago, so I finally decided to give it a try.

I’ve been taking Balance, which I talked about in last month’s favorites, and that has helped with my acne quite a bit, but I’ve still been struggling with redness, a bumpy texture of the skin, and the dark circles under my eyes that absolutely refuse to go away. In the week that I’ve been using these products, along with Balance, I can already tell a difference, and I’m loving the results. The texture of my skin has already improved some, as well as the redness. Overall, my skin already seems clearer and more glow-y!

I ordered the Discovery Kit, which includes travel sizes of their four core items – the Purifying Face Cleanser, the Pro-Glycolic Resurfacing Gel, the Illuminating Face Serum, and the Hydrating Day & Night Cream, all in a cute cosmetic bag, for $52. If you head to my Instagram, and click the link in my bio, you will have the opportunity to enter your e-mail address to get 20% off your first order!

I know these products are pricey, but I am willing to pay for a quality product, and I definitely like what I’ve experienced so far here! I’m excited to continue using the Discovery Kit, and will be trying out some other products soon as well (the under eye cream is at the top of my list!)

Mainstays Mulled Cider Candle

This candle from Wal-Mart is like Christmas in a jar! I’m not usually a big fan of Christmas-y scents like cinnamon and pine, but this one is just heavenly! It literally smells like hot apple cider, and it really just makes the whole house feel so cozy when I burn it!

I really wish that I could send the smell to you through the screen, but since I can’t, do yourself a favor and get to Wal-Mart to buy this delicious candle!

October Favorites

First of all, I just want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone that has shown me support in the first couple days of having The Boho Beach Blog up and running. I’ve had so many likes and comments on my last few Instagram posts and have received nothing but positive feedback. I’m so excited to continue creating new content for you and I can’t wait to see where this new adventure takes me!

Now on to the real reason we’re here…

If you’re anything like me, your Instagram feed and the blogs you read are probably full of inspiration. Awesome DIY’s, home decor ideas, the latest fashion trends, the best beauty products, and so many other things that you want to try or buy! I love when others share their favorite products, so I want to do the same!

At the end of each month, I’ll be sharing my favorite products from the month. Clothes, beauty products, home decor items, health and fitness products…pretty much anything that I’ve found useful or that has inspired me in some way that month. Here’s what I was loving during the month of October!

1. The Opalhouse Line at Target

Varying prices at Target

You guys, I’m seriously obsessed with this line. Literally EVERYTHING is so. freaking. cute! My coffee table is Opalhouse, almost everything in my master bathroom is Opalhouse, and there’s about 75 other things from the line that I’m dying to have! Every single item in the line is a little bit modern, a little bit boho, and a whole lot of fun!

They also currently have their holiday line available, and I want to buy it all! I mean seriously, look at this stuff!

2. Balance from Alani Nu

$49.99 at for a 30 day supply

If you’re into fitness or follow any fitness accounts on Instagram, you’ve probably heard of Katy Hearn (booty queen, new mama, and major boss babe.) Alani Nu is the supplement company she and her husband own, and Balance is a product they have created that helps with hormone balance, weight management, and fertility. One of the main things that people have found Balance to help with is acne, which is why I take it.

When I stopped taking birth control about six months ago, my skin went to complete crap. I’m talking constant breakouts on my face, chest, and back that no face wash or skin care product would get rid of. Enter Balance, and within two weeks my skin had done a complete 180. Now don’t get me wrong, I still get a few breakouts here and there, but this stuff has made it so much more manageable.

In addition to helping with acne, people have said that Balance has helped them with things like PCOS, managing irregular cycles, and other hormonal issues. If you suffer from acne, PCOS, or any other problems that are related to hormones, go check this stuff out!

They do sell out of this product quickly, and often, so I suggest signing up for their text alerts to be notified when they restock, and then then purchasing right away when you receive the alert. You can also sign up for an automatic subscription so you don’t have to worry about it being sold out when you need a new bottle!

3. Karella Jumpsuit from Lulus

$58 at Lulus

I had never ordered anything from Lulus before, but I am now officially hooked.

Earlier this month I went to Washington D.C. with my husband to an annual conference for the company he works for. One of the week’s events was a dinner cruise on the Potomac River, which is where I wore this jumpsuit. I got so many compliments on it! And not only is it so cute, but it is also extremely comfortable! I normally have a hard time with things like this being long enough, but this was the perfect length for me to wear with heels. I dressed it up with gold jewelry and threw my leather jacket over it since we had a bit of a walk on a chilly night!

I only got one picture of me wearing it, and unfortunately it was not a very high quality photo, but you can see what I paired it with here!

4. Tarte Maracuja Oil

$16 for 0.5 oz. or $48 for 1.7 oz. at, Ulta, or Sephora

I am a die hard drugstore makeup fan. Most of the time I just cannot bring myself to buy designer beauty products. $50 for foundation? Seriously? I just can’t. BUT, there are a few products that I’m willing to splurge on, and this is one of them.

Maracuja oil is designed to help the skin look firmer, smoother, and brighter. I use it as a moisturize, and I really love the way it makes my skin look and feel. The best part is, it never leaves my skin looking or feeling oily.

I buy the 0.5 oz. bottle and it lasts me 3+ months. I would guess that the larger bottle would easily last me a full year!

5. Leyla Bootie from Target

$37.99 at Target

Booties are my absolute favorite type of shoe, and this pair is PERFECT for fall! The cognac color is so pretty, and the little rope details add just the right amount of fun. They have a 3.5″ heel (which means they’re still comfortable and easy to walk in) and zippers on the inner ankles making them easy to put on and take off. They also come in black if that’s more your style!

Now if this Florida weather would just cool off so that I can actually wear these beauties!
